Binge drinking is heavy consumption of alcohol over a short period of time. People binge drink because of curiosity, to reduce stress and peer pressure. The infographic shows some methods on how you will quit binge drinking. Method 1: You need to form a plan. You may examine your drinking habits; tell people that you think you might have a problem. Learn to recognize the triggers that make you want to binge drink, keep drinking journal decide whether or not you need to quit all together. Method 2: Cutting back your drinking. You need to establish drinking ground rules for yourself. Slow down and make each drink last longer, stay busy, make yourself drink two glasses of water for every one drink of alcohol, only drink with meals, and set rigid time for your drinking. Method 3: Quitting Altogether. You should get rid of your access to alcohol, talk to your doctor about Disulfiram and other “Warm Turkey” methods, expect physical side effects of withdrawal, don’t argue about quitting people, find a drink replacement and find a support group. Method 4: Staying Motivated. Make yourself accountable, void people who make you want to drink, manage your stress levels, find new hobbies and interests, start exercising and reward yourself for periods of sobriety.
